A. Well, at two weeks since your last period, you should just now be ovulating or have ovulated in the last few days. You would have had to have sex in the last few days. And even if you have ovulated and the egg was fertilized, I don't think it would have implanted yet or become big enough to see. We usually see ectopics at at around 5 weeks, minimum. So possible I guess, but unlikely, I think, at this point, to be an ectopic.

That said, it could certainly be some kind of ovarian cyst. They are common, could feel like a mass if you are very thin or it is big enough. They can be very painful.

Check it out with the doctor, they may do a pelvic ultrasound, and they can look at your ovaries to see if there are cysts, and they can double check that there is no ectopic pregnancy as well. Good luck. =)

A. I had an ectopic 2 years ago. symptoms are should pain, pain concentrated on one side, and cramping. You may have only one or you may have them all. If you think it is ectopic you need to see a doctor right away. if your tube bursts you could die from internal bleeding. Personally I had no symptoms until the end where I started bleeding and my doctor thought I was just having a miscarriage. He scheduled me for a d&c and laporscopy and on the day of my surgery my tube started to burst. I had no pain or symptoms only that I started to have signs of a miscarriage. Please be safe and see a doctor. It is not worth the chance. Also, having an ectopic does not ruin your chances of ever conceiving a healthy baby so don't be discouraged if it happens. Like I said I had an ectopic 2 years ago and I am pregnant with a healthy baby now. We are 19 weeks pregnant. It may take longer but the reward is so worth the wait and I would not change anything!

how long does it take to develop ectopic pregnancy symptoms? ?

I am about 5 weeks pregnant and I was wondering how long it takes to develop ectopic pregnancy symptoms...I have shoulder and neck pain (muscular) cramping, achy belly and occassional ovarian pain like a shooting pain...similar to when I have cysts...Does this sound bad or like a normal pregnancy? I have no fever and no bleeding. I am going to the doctor tomorrow, but wondered if I should go to ER.

A. Could be normal, but pay attention to your body. Shoulder pain can be caused by retaining fluid which you do while pregnant. With my ectopic my pain started very mild and grew severe fairly quickly. I didn't have any shoulder pain with it. About 5 or 6 hours after the pain started I started to spot. The pain was so severe that there was no question in my mind that I needed to go to the ER. The thing I remember most is that I felt like I had to go to the bathroom and it hurt so bad to try to have a BM that I had to stop trying.

A. I had an ectopic 2 years ago. symptoms are should pain, pain concentrated on one side, and cramping. You may have only one or you may have them all. If you think it is ectopic you need to see a doctor right away. if your tube bursts you could die from internal bleeding. Personally I had no symptoms until the end where I started bleeding and my doctor thought I was just having a miscarriage. He scheduled me for a d&c and laporscopy and on the day of my surgery my tube started to burst. I had no pain or symptoms only that I started to have signs of a miscarriage. Please be safe and see a doctor. It is not worth the chance. Also, having an ectopic does not ruin your chances of ever conceiving a healthy baby so don't be discouraged if it happens. Like I said I had an ectopic 2 years ago and I am pregnant with a healthy baby now. We are 19 weeks pregnant. It may take longer but the reward is so worth the wait and I would not change anything!

Im 22 weeks pregnant with my first and i had a suspected ectopic pregnancy,i had extremely bad cramping and kept passing out and i bled once so they took me into hospital but it turned out that the baby was fine.Once you hear that your baby is fine the worry fades away,its not irrational to feel the way you are feeling because it just sounds like you care so much!Don't get me wrong im not gunna say that i have no worries now at all but its just natural to worry that the little life inside you is happy and well.Dont stress just chill,the chance of you having a beautiful healty baby are very high!

A. A friend of mine had an ectopic pregnancy in which her fallopian tube ruptured and had to be removed.

I believe she was 9-10 weeks along.

You would KNOW if your fallopian tube ruptured. You would be in unspeakable, unbearable pain. If you were having an ectopic pregnancy, you'd be feeling intense, sharp pains on one side of your lower abdomen.

If you think you're having one, go to the ER, ASAP. They aren't anything to play around with. It needs to be removed right away!!

A. Could be normal, but pay attention to your body. Shoulder pain can be caused by retaining fluid which you do while pregnant. With my ectopic my pain started very mild and grew severe fairly quickly. I didn't have any shoulder pain with it. About 5 or 6 hours after the pain started I started to spot. The pain was so severe that there was no question in my mind that I needed to go to the ER. The thing I remember most is that I felt like I had to go to the bathroom and it hurt so bad to try to have a BM that I had to stop trying.

A. Yup! I'm currently pregnant with my first and I was very nervous it would end up being an ectopic pregnancy. But that fear seems totally valid with EVERY pregnancy. The biggest thing to remember is that ectopic pregnancies hurt. (At least that's what my doctor told me.) My friend had an ectopic pregnancy, she didn't even know she was pregnant, but they discovered when she was hopitalized with horrible pain. So as long as you aren't experiencing any major pain you should be just fine. =)

A. In the very early stages, tubal pregnancy symptoms are just like those of a healthy pregnancy. A little morning sickness, some breast tenderness, being tired, and missed periods.

After 5 weeks, more specific symptoms include cramping or pain in the abdomen, spotting, and dizziness or light-headedness.

You would miss your periods if it is a tubal pregnancy.

There are tests which your doctor can run. They include a pelvic exam, both external and internal...trying to find unusual qualities and will check to see if your uterus looks to be the proper size for the baby�s length of gestation.
